Cultural and Sports Activities Service
Introducing the Department:
The Department of Cultural and Sports Activities is a service affiliated organizationally with the Deputy Directorate of Personnel, Training, Cultural and Sports Activities. Its primary mission is to discover students’ talents and employ them in the activities it carries out, allowing students to refine their talents. This is what helps to form an athletic and intellectual generation familiar with all fields. The service also has an important role in developing the national dimension and sense of belonging and strengthening the elements of national identity.
Department Tasks:
1. Cultural and scientific activities:
- Establishing cultural and scientific clubs.
- Organizing cultural competitions at the school level.
- Carrying out cultural exchanges between the school and various university institutions as well as related institutions.
- Conducting expeditions aimed at twinning between the school and various other university institutions.
- Organizing seminars, lectures, and study days on various topics.
- Organizing various exhibitions.
- Organizing poetry evenings.
- Encouraging students’ creativity (theatre, painting, poetry, story, calligraphy ….).
- Organizing awareness campaigns and cleanliness campaigns.
2.Sports activities:
- Creating sports teams in all sports.
- Participation in local, regional, and national university tournaments in all sports.
- Participation in national sports gatherings (athletics).
- Organizing sports tournaments among school students on national occasions.
- Organizing awareness campaigns on the importance of sports and its role in the university community.
- Encouraging women’s sports in the university community.
- Organizing friendly tournaments and hosting other universities to exchange experiences.
